GMA-7 newscasts 24 Oras and Saksi have a slight lead over its competitors, based on the April to June 2010 (until June 24) Mega Manila individual ratings data and audience share data from AGB Nielsen Philippines.

Based on a report furnished by the corporate communications department of GMA-7, the Kapuso Network's primetime newscast, 24 Oras, topped TV Patrol World from April to June 24 with an audience share lead of 1.2% and 0.7 rating points. Based on the individual audience share data, 24 Oras was leading by 1.1 % compared to TV Patrol World last April; 1.5% last May; and 0.8% up to June 24.
GMA-7's late-night newscast Saksi, on the other hand, dominated Bandila from April to June 24 with a total of 2.4 rating points. Last April, Saksi posted a 2 rating points lead over the competing station's newscast. The following month, Saksi posted 5.7 rating points against Bandila's 2.9: representing a lead of 2.8 rating points. From June 1 to 24, Saksi bested the competition with 2.5 rating points according to the individual ratings data from AGB Nielsen.
Individual ratings—also called People Ratings—is the key information that advertisers look into because individual data measures the actual "eyeballs" or the number of people watching.
The said report of GMA-7 also claims that 24 Oras has been the "top primetime newscast since taking the lead in the period of November 22 to December 31, 2004." It also claims that Saksi has been the "leading late-night newscast for almost seven years now."
The latest available partial data for June individual ratings from AGB Nielsen continue to show that both 24 Oras and Saksi are ahead of the competition when it comes to Mega Manila.
GMA-7's newscasts are bannered by some of the most credible names in local broadcasting today—award-winning broadcast journalists Mike Enriquez and Mel Tiangco for 24 Oras and Arnold Clavio and Vicky Morales for Saksi—and powered by news teams that have been recognized locally as well as internationally, says the GMA-7 report.
