"My Valentinte Girls" Raked P135 Million on Its First 3 Days of Showing

Did Richard Gutierrez crossed-over from being just a Valentine Box-office King to the Blockbuster King of Philippine cinema when his latest Valentine movie "My Valentine Girls" reportedly grossed a total of P135 million on its first 3 days of showing?
According to a report by Ric Camaligan of the National Cinema Association of the Philippines, the movie which is now on its 4 days of showing in cinemas nationwide, already hit the P100 million mark in gross sales.
"It has been a record-breaking 2011 start for GMA Films and Regal Entertainment. My Valentinte Girls's total gross for the 1st 3 days reached an all-time high of P135 million - the biggest 3 day gross for a Tagalog/Foreign film, breaking all box office records." Camaligan said.
Lily Monteverde, one of its producers, seconded the NCAP report and said, "Napakahirap na ng buhay ngayon, kaya for a movie to make over P135 million in 3 days is a miracle. Divine intervention ito."
But, I for myself have a little doubt on the PR released by Camaligan and Mother Lily. For someone whose past time is to watch whatever movies are there and malling has become a part of life, I personally witnessed how the Pinoy moviegoers opted to watch Hollywood indie films like 127 hours and second week run films like "Bulong", "The Rite" and "Tangled". There's not even a small queue on cinemas where MVG are showing. Some reports said the movie only earned a measly P3 million on its first day of showing.
If the PR is indeed true, then my congratulations to the producers and cast and crew of the movie!

I don't think totoo ito... kung hindi ko pa nabasa somewhere hindi ko malalaman na nag gross ng ganun kalaki. They need to understand specially the producrs and Rgutz na hindi naman uto uto at stupid ang mga pinoy para maniwala? yung sakanila nga ni KC hindi umabot ng ganun eto pa kaya?

Everybody is entitled to think, act and accept what he wanted to believe...even this blogger. Some who likes Richard believe na tama ang report. But those who hates him will surely feel otherwise.
So, to anonymous #9, i don't see anything wrong with the post. even this blogger have doubts on the stats released by mother lily and NCAP. Di lang naman sya ang nag-post ng report na ito. Madami sila. And lahat naman sila in-doubt din. Cool ka lang. Wag mo nalang to i-visit kung di ka naniniwala sa kanya.

Maraming nega people sa world! I am not really a fan of Richard G., but I believe that the movie is capable of earning a big of amount of money bcoz of the cast. Aside from Eugene Domingo who's super funny and talented, marami rin ang nako-curious kay Solenn Heussaff. And si Richard, Rhian, and Lovi may mga fanbases na rin sila kaya pumunta na lang siguro kayo sa sinehan and see for yourselves, huwag maniwala sa sabi-sabi lang.
And please lang naman, sana yung mga nega people hiding behind the anonymous identity, maging civilized lang naman sa pag comment. Yan kung tao kayo. LOL.

blogger, kumuha ka nga ng picture sa trinoma, gateway at sm kung may pila ba sa movie na ito para magkaalaman na.
I watched this movie out of curiosity. okay naman. maganda ang story although editing was really bad. marami ding tao sa sinehan pero hinde gaya ng ine-expect ko.
Guys, i don't think it is the bloggers responsibility to please everyone. although they need to be accurate and credible, they also have the right to put whatever they believe will get people's interest...it is their blog afterall.
And I don't see anything wrong with this write-up. it is clearly stated that the blogger personally doubt camaligan's and mother lily's press release. it's up for us to believe the PR or not.
If you just want to see and read what pleases you, then put your own blog. As simple as that.
