Tropical Depression Dodong Update: PAGASA Weather Forecast - June 9, 2011, 11a.m.

At 11:00 am today, the low pressure area West of Metro Manila has developed into a tropical depression and was named DODONG.
DODONG was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 60 km South Southeast of Iba, Zambales (15.1°N, 119.4°E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center. It is forecast to move North Northwest at 15 kph.
Public storm Signal Number 1 (30-60 kph winds):

Tarlac
Zambales
Pangasinan
Cavite
Metro Manila
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecast shows that on Friday morning, "Dodong" is estimated at 210 km West of Laoag City. And on Saturday morning, it is expected to be at 440 km West Northwest of Basco, Batanes.

well, i guess PAG-ASA's typhoon updated are scattered. Anyway we just can't predict the weather. Today a bright morning sun at play again and it seems no typhoon dodong or falcon just passed by.
Just to remind everybody that this is only a tropical storm. Nothing to worry for typhoon dodong.
A tropical storm for 2011 but a great typhoon last 2007.
Yes, its a little bit weaker compared to the last dodong. But still, we're happy it didn't leaved much damaged in the country.
