EA sports lawsuit filed two years ago by former Nebraska and Arizona State quarterback Sam Keller and former UCLA basketball player Ed O’Bannon for allegedly using their likenesses in-game without their consent might cost EA a $1-billion in damages.

EA filed a petition to dismiss a court case filed against them saying they have a First Amendment right to use the players’ likenesses. But the US judge has denied the petition. Moreover, the law ask EA to pay each of the 10,000+ players in the associated games a $1,000 each, bringing the possible sum-up cost of $334.5-million.
