Fe Del Mundo is Dead

Dr. Fe Del Mundo, the country's first national scientist who invented an incubator made of bamboo which was used in rural areas without electricity, died of cardiac arrest on Saturday morning. She was 99.
Her remains now lies in state at the conference hall of the Dr. Fe del Mundo Medical Center Foundation in Quezon City and will be brought to the Santo Domingo Church on Wednesday, August 10.
She will be buried with honors at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on Thursday, August 11.

A great loss.
i have fond memories of Dr. Fe del Mundo. she once attended to my special child, leah marie, about two decades ago - when we confined her at the children's medical center. i grieve the loss of one great doctor and scientist.
may her soul rest in peace...
