What makes a die-hard celebrity fanatic? When you learned that your favorite singer is about to launch his latest single, you would:
Travel miles away to see/hear/breathe the same air he's breathing
Beat the traffic jam (this is Manila, hello! Traffic is everywhere)
Conquer the heavy rain (as if soaking wet in the rain is as good as eating ice cream)
Willing to surpass hours of long queue to get infront and have a better view of what's happening on stage
If you answer "That's me!" on those items above, then, like me, you're a certified faney!
The "fan-in-me" was put to test on June 19 when Warner Music Philippines and Wish 107.5 launched the latest single of Grammy-nominated artist Charlie Puth called "Attention" via a mini-concert and the unveiling of #AttentionCharliePuthWishBus at Uptown Mall in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Despite the fact that Charlie Puth will not be physically present in the event, I traveled all the way from Nueva Ecija, surpassed the Metrowide Monday traffic, conquered the heavy rain and flood, queued my way to the registration along with hundreds of young students who flocked the venue 3 hours earlier than the event schedule. Yes, that's me! A certified Charlie Puth fan.
The event was headlined by Soul Siren Nina who announced her much-awaited comeback, not just to the recording scene, but also to Warner Music Philippines family.
Joaqui Madamba from the band BTC Sounds opened the program by performing some of his own compositions.
The star-studded event also featured viral artists and Warner Music Philippines newest pool of talents that include:
Ashley Gosiengfiao and her neo-soul band MIDNIGHT MEETINGS
All-male band ALTITUDE.7
Acoustic duo LEANNE & NAARA
Acoustic duo LEANNE & NAARA
Alternative rock act ALPHA CAELI

All of them performed their covers of most favorite Charlie Puth songs. They even serenaded the crowd watching at the Uptown Mall Activity Center with their own hit songs.
