Who is the real intruder when it comes to love – the one who said “I do” or the one who got away?
ABS-CBN, the first and true home of Asianovelas, heats up afternoon viewing as it tells the tale of two women who will fight for a man who loves both of them at different circumstances in “My Dearest Intruder,” premiering this Monday (September 25).
High school best friends Sharlene (Aggie Hsieh) and Ria (Amber An) are so close that nothing can ever come between their friendship. That is until they fall for the same man – Ria’s childhood friend, Ivan (Melvin Sia).
Ria has been madly in love with Ivan ever since she can remember, but he however, has his eyes set on Sharlene. To protect their friendship, Sharlene decides to leave and gives way to Ria.
This breaks Ivan’s heart, but Ria stands by his side and helps him mend it. Eventually, the two get married and start a life together.
After ten years, their paths once again intertwine. This time, Sharlene is ready to fight for Ivan and wants to reclaim what she thinks truly belongs to her.
Will Sharlene be able to win Ivan back? Does Ivan still has feelings for Sharlene? How will Ria protect her marriage with Ivan?
Birit Queen Klarisse de Guzman adds color to the story of Sharlene, Ria, and Ivan as she sings “Wala Na Talaga,” the official themesong of the show.
Don’t miss the premiere of “My Dearest Intruder” after “The Promise of Forever” only on the first and true home of Asianovelas, ABS-CBN Kapamilya Gold.

Oscar Best Actress winner Jennifer Lawrence adds a home invasion horror tale to her repertoire with Paramount Pictures' psychological thriller m o t h e r ! in Philippine cinemas September 20.
Directed by Academy Award-nominee Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan), the film revolves around Mother (Lawrence) and Him (Javier Bardem) who live in a seemingly idyllic existence in a secluded paradise. But the couple’s relationship is tested when man (Ed Harris) and woman (Michelle Pfeiffer) arrive at their home uninvited. Answering that knock disrupts their tranquil existence and as more and more guests arrive, mother is forced to revisit everything she knows about love, devotion and sacrifice.
“One of the greatest things that can happen to you as an artist is to be a part of a movie that starts conversation because it’s an original idea, completely unique,” says Lawrence of m o t h e r !. “Even though we’re shooting things that are eerie, the allegory is so much bigger. It’s what it all means.
“There’s a million different facets to this movie that certain people are going to relate to, be scared of, intrigued by,” continues Lawrence. She describes the lure of playing mother, the adoring wife and muse to Javier Bardem’s enigmatic poet: “Falling in love is scary. Being vulnerable? Terrifying. Not letting yourself be vulnerable? Also, terrifying.
“It’s one thing to make something lukewarm,” says Lawrence. “It’s another to make something scalding hot. This? It’s a Roman candle. An explosion. A riot of a movie. An expression. There’s definitely a moment in this movie where some will say, ‘Darren, you’re taking this too far’ and storm out of the theater. But I wouldn’t have been there if I hadn’t already thrown the script across my hotel room in New York and thought this guy is crazy. But he has to take it all the way. I think he was right to not shy back and be afraid.”
As for that Roman candle, expect an unsettling metaphoric ride that will shock and jar audiences. Lawrence’s dark summation: “A creator always needs a muse. As long as the universe is expanding, men will be using women.”
Rated R-16 Without Cuts by the MTRCB, m o t h e r ! is distributed in the Philippines by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.
So as not to inconvenient several groups planning to stage massive protests, President Rodrigo Duterte may declare September 21 a special non-working day in Metro Manila for the 45th anniversary of Martial Law.
“At this early, I am announcing that I am ordering a holiday para walang masaktan, walang ano kung may demonstration diyan, magkagulo.” Duterte said in an interview.
Addressing protesters who belong to a coalition of anti-Duterte groups called the Movement Against Tyranny, Duterte said, “There will be no policemen on the streets to stop you. I will assign a few policemen to maintain traffic so as not to inconvenience those who are not joining the protest rallies.”
