ABS-CBN News Rakes 10M YouTube Subscribers with 6B Views, Remains to be the Most-Trusted Source of News Online

ABS-CBN solidifies its digital transformation with another milestone as ABS-CBN News reaches 10 million subscribers on YouTube.

Now on its tenth year on the video-sharing platform, ABS-CBN News continues to be the most subscribed Filipino news channel, serving viewers worldwide with livestreaming of top news programs such as "TV Patrol" and "The World Tonight," select shows of TeleRadyo and ABS-CBN Current Affairs, and exclusive explainer videos and profiles from its digital brand NXT.

With six billion lifetime views, ABS-CBN News also ranks number five in terms of YouTube views from Philippine-based viewers as of August 4, according to the analytics firm Social Blade.

It also continues to be the trusted source of news and information on social media with over 18 million likes and 20 million followers on Facebook, seven million followers on Twitter, and 1.7 million followers on Instagram, where real-time news updates and links to news sites news.abs-cbn.com and patrol.ph are posted.

Despite the shutdown of ABS-CBN's broadcast operations and the non-renewal of its franchise, ABS-CBN News remains committed to be in the service of the Filipino. Aside from YouTube, "TV Patrol" and "The World Tonight" can also be viewed online on the ABS-CBN News Facebook page and iWant, and on cable on ANC, TeleRadyo, and Kapamilya Channel.

Miss Universe Philippines Launches the First- Ever Online Pageant Series 'Ring Light'

‪Miss Universe Philippines strives to break pageant norms and build a new Miss Universe that promotes empowered beauty with a purpose through its new online series, Ring Light, which premieres on September 27, 2020 on www.empire.ph. 

Going beyond preliminaries and the coronation night, Ring Light is the first of its kind in the world as it gives pageant fans a closer look at what it truly takes to become a beauty queen. From rigorous training to fascinating challenges and fun, behind-the-scenes activities, Ring Light proves that there’s more to beauty than meets the eye. 

Composed of eight episodes, the series follows 50 aspiring Miss Universe Philippines candidates and takes viewers through their inspiring journey to the crown. Each episode will take the viewer through learnings, challenges, preliminaries, and finally, the coronation night. A portion of each subscription will go to the candidates’ chosen beneficiary as well as partner organizations AHA! Learning Center and WWF. Each Miss Universe Philippines candidate has a corresponding referral code that will directly benefit her chosen personal beneficiary.
