ABS-CBN, the first and true home of Asianovelas, heats up afternoon viewing as it tells the tale of two women who will fight for a man who loves both of them at different circumstances in “My Dearest Intruder,” premiering this Monday (September 25).
High school best friends Sharlene (Aggie Hsieh) and Ria (Amber An) are so close that nothing can ever come between their friendship. That is until they fall for the same man – Ria’s childhood friend, Ivan (Melvin Sia).
Ria has been madly in love with Ivan ever since she can remember, but he however, has his eyes set on Sharlene. To protect their friendship, Sharlene decides to leave and gives way to Ria.

After ten years, their paths once again intertwine. This time, Sharlene is ready to fight for Ivan and wants to reclaim what she thinks truly belongs to her.
Will Sharlene be able to win Ivan back? Does Ivan still has feelings for Sharlene? How will Ria protect her marriage with Ivan?
Birit Queen Klarisse de Guzman adds color to the story of Sharlene, Ria, and Ivan as she sings “Wala Na Talaga,” the official themesong of the show.

Oscar Best Actress winner Jennifer Lawrence adds a home invasion horror tale to her repertoire with Paramount Pictures' psychological thriller m o t h e r ! in Philippine cinemas September 20.
Directed by Academy Award-nominee Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan), the film revolves around Mother (Lawrence) and Him (Javier Bardem) who live in a seemingly idyllic existence in a secluded paradise. But the couple’s relationship is tested when man (Ed Harris) and woman (Michelle Pfeiffer) arrive at their home uninvited. Answering that knock disrupts their tranquil existence and as more and more guests arrive, mother is forced to revisit everything she knows about love, devotion and sacrifice.
“One of the greatest things that can happen to you as an artist is to be a part of a movie that starts conversation because it’s an original idea, completely unique,” says Lawrence of m o t h e r !. “Even though we’re shooting things that are eerie, the allegory is so much bigger. It’s what it all means.
“There’s a million different facets to this movie that certain people are going to relate to, be scared of, intrigued by,” continues Lawrence. She describes the lure of playing mother, the adoring wife and muse to Javier Bardem’s enigmatic poet: “Falling in love is scary. Being vulnerable? Terrifying. Not letting yourself be vulnerable? Also, terrifying.
“It’s one thing to make something lukewarm,” says Lawrence. “It’s another to make something scalding hot. This? It’s a Roman candle. An explosion. A riot of a movie. An expression. There’s definitely a moment in this movie where some will say, ‘Darren, you’re taking this too far’ and storm out of the theater. But I wouldn’t have been there if I hadn’t already thrown the script across my hotel room in New York and thought this guy is crazy. But he has to take it all the way. I think he was right to not shy back and be afraid.”
As for that Roman candle, expect an unsettling metaphoric ride that will shock and jar audiences. Lawrence’s dark summation: “A creator always needs a muse. As long as the universe is expanding, men will be using women.”
Rated R-16 Without Cuts by the MTRCB, m o t h e r ! is distributed in the Philippines by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.
So as not to inconvenient several groups planning to stage massive protests, President Rodrigo Duterte may declare September 21 a special non-working day in Metro Manila for the 45th anniversary of Martial Law.
“At this early, I am announcing that I am ordering a holiday para walang masaktan, walang ano kung may demonstration diyan, magkagulo.” Duterte said in an interview.
Addressing protesters who belong to a coalition of anti-Duterte groups called the Movement Against Tyranny, Duterte said, “There will be no policemen on the streets to stop you. I will assign a few policemen to maintain traffic so as not to inconvenience those who are not joining the protest rallies.”

With his talent and dashing personality, MATTEO GUIDICELLI is always a stand-out in any field that he puts himself into. Over a decade in the entertainment industry, Matteo has become one of his generation's most established actors and continues to prove that his talents go beyond acting and sports as he shares more of himself through his music.
Last November, Matteo headlined his first major concert entitled #MatteoMadeinCebu. This sold out concert held at the Waterfront Hotel, Cebu City showcased Matteo's singing prowess and love for music.
This year, Matteo is once again taking centerstage, this time in Manila, with "HEY MATTEO" to be held at the Kia Theater on November 30, 2017 at 7:30PM.
"Hey Matteo" is set to give the fans a glimpse of Matteo's innermost self as he opens up more of his identity and artistry. "Hey Matteo" combines Matteo's talents with the creativity of concert Director Genius Rowell Santiago and Musical direction by OPM Master Louie Ocampo.
This concert will be an entirely different show from his previous hometown concert in Cebu last year. "Hey Matteo" is definitely one concert event to look forward to as "70% to 80% of the creative input came from Matteo", Louie said. Both directors have worked with the versatile actor on several projects in the past and both have witnessed his growth as an artist. Their collaboration for this concert is one more a coming together of artists commited to mount a great show for the love of music. "The concert will have a youthful vibe with the 90's beat. It will show Matteo's versatility as a singer through songs that tell his story", says Louie. "Matteo is really hands-on with the preparations and this concert will definitely show much about the kind of singer that he is", he added. Matteo will be performing a combination of covers inspired by the music that he grew up with and original songs from an album that he will soon be releasing.

For as long as their town has existed, Derry has been the entity’s hunting ground, emerging from the sewers every 27 years to feed on the terrors of its chosen prey: Derry’s children. Banding together over one horrifying and exhilarating summer, the Losers form a close bond to help them overcome their own fears and stop a killing cycle that began on a rainy day, with a small boy chasing a paper boat as it swept down a storm drain…and into the hands of Pennywise the Clown.
Directed by Andy Muschietti, IT is based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, which has been terrifying readers for decades. First published in 1986, IT became an instant classic. It continues to be counted among the best and most influential works of the undisputed literary master of horror, inspiring numerous film and television projects in the years that have followed.
The film stars Bill SkarsgÃ¥rd (Allegiant) as the story’s central villain, Pennywise. An ensemble of young actors also star in the film, including Jaeden Lieberher (Midnight Special), Jeremy Ray Taylor (Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip), Sophia Lillis (37), Finn Wolfhard (Netflix’s Stranger Things), Wyatt Oleff (Guardians of the Galaxy), Chosen Jacobs (upcoming Cops and Robbers), Jack Dylan Grazer (Tales of Halloween), Nicholas Hamilton (Captain Fantastic) and Jackson Robert Scott, making his film debut.
Muschietti directed IT from a screenplay by Chase Palmer & Cary Fukunaga and Gary Dauberman, based on the novel by King. Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Seth Grahame-Smith, David Katzenberg and Barbara Muschietti produced the film, with Dave Neustadter, Walter Hamada, Richard Brener, Toby Emmerich, Marty P. Ewing, Doug Davison, Jon Silk and Niija Kuykendall serving as executive producers.
New Line Cinema presents a Vertigo Entertainment/Lin Pictures/Katzsmith Production, IT. The film is being distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

Men and women have different views when it comes to defining toughness. While some believe men’s brute physical strength represents toughness, others believe that women’s resilience and emotional endurance are what being tough is all about. But when they are put up against one another, we have to ask, who is tougher?
KIX, the ultimate destination for action entertainment, will find out as it brings back R U Tough Enough? for the third time! This year, the event aims to go beyond the stereotypes by recruiting 5 male and 5 female contestants to face off for a “Man versus Woman” edition. The contestants will go through a rigorous series of physically demanding and emotionally enduring challenges. Only one winner can be crowned as the Toughest Pinoy and walk away with the grand prize of PHP 250,000. Are men going to prove themselves as the tougher gender? Or are women going to finally break the stereotype?
At the media launch, KIX announced that actress-turned- fitness trainer, Aubrey Miles and celebrated fitness guru, Arnold Aninion were chosen as the ambassadors to emphasize this year’s theme of “Man versus Woman”. The ambassadors will lead #TeamAubrey and #TeamArnold respectively in the challenge to determine which gender is the toughest.
Aubrey Miles isn’t your typical model or actress. This girl is tough to the bone! Aubrey is the perfect embodiment of toughness and tenacity. She supported her family since she was a teenager, she fought through her life’s challenges and emerged as a tough actress and fitness advocate.
“I’m very excited to be chosen as the first female ambassador for R U Tough Enough? Filipinos are tough, especially women, they never give up even get hit by all kinds of life adversities. Like me, I struggled to get my life back after giving birth and start everything over again by myself. Everything that I have and where am at now is from my hard work and being tougher inside and outside. So I encourage my fellow Pinays out there to join R U Tough Enough? Let’s show them women are really tough,” said Aubrey.
From being a national rugby player to a body builder, Arnold Aninion, has proven to be tough with countless hours of training and hard work throughout his years as a fitness enthusiast.
“Being tough is a balance of being physically and mentally strong. I believe that we can accomplish anything if we just set our minds to it. Much like the Pinoy spirit. Pinoys are so resilient that we get up every time life brings us down. I challenge everyone to test your limits and join R U Tough Enough?,” said Arnold.
“In this year’s R U Tough Enough?, we are excited to go beyond the stereotype that men are tougher than women with our very own battle of Man versus Woman. We’re sure that this will make for an enthralling competition, as we know that toughness isn’t limited to physical strength; it is also a test of mental endurance. And a big thank you to our sponsors and partners for supporting this program,” said Shirley Cheong, Executive Director of Marketing at KIX, Hong Kong.
R U Tough Enough? is open to all Philippine residents aged 18 and above. To enter the contest, participants must apply online and tell us why you are the Toughest Pinoy at www.KIX-TV.com/tough. For 30 years, Tapa King has been the go-to place for Filipino home-cooked spread served with no frills and no pretentions. As they celebrate their 30th anniversary, the established Filipino food chain launched their very first and newest endorser–TV show host and businessman Sebastian “Baste” Duterte, the perfect celebrity to represent the brand.
“We’re celebrating our 30th anniversary by introducing someone who completely embodies the way we serve food,” said Tapa King President and CEO Beatrice Magallanes. “Baste has authentic Filipino grit, the kind who eats without pretense. What you see is what you get with him, which is essentially how we are.”
In this modern age where everything is filtered and curated, Tapa King remains a simple haven and stands out by being one of the few remaining places where people can just be themselves and eat as if they were home.
This is what Baste love about Tapa King. “Pagdating sa pagkain, I’m the type who enjoys what I want, kahit saan pa man ‘yan. Wala nang arte-arte. The best for me ‘pag relax lang, when it makes me feel at home. ‘Yun yung gusto ko sa Tapa King – ‘yung parang may lutong-bahay kang mauuwian,” he said. When asked about his favorite he said that he likes Tapa Flakes, with its best-tasting original Tapa recipe, served with garlic rice, sunny side up egg and atchara.
Tapa King’s original Tapa recipe has been around for years. What began in 1987 as a humble intent to provide classic home-style Pinoy favorites along Gallardo Street in Makati, Tapa King has now grown into a well known provider of pure meal goodness with over 100 branches in Luzon, Vizayas, and Mindanao. To date, they have four branches outside the Philippines, three in Dubai and one in Singapore.
Tapa King prides itself in serving meals from a menu of delectable Pinoy favorites. Whether you’re up for classic Tapa, Tocino, Longganisa, Danggit or Beef Steak, Tapa King can bring you what you crave for and more. They even serve comfort Pinoy food staples like Beef Kare-Kare and Bulalo.
“Authentic and purely uninhibited, Tapa King offers home-cooked indulgence at its finest – the kind that anyone with a healthy appetite will want to come home to,” Beatrice adds.

Daniel Radcliffe takes off his wizard robe and transforms into a friendzoned boy-next-door who thinks he already met the one in the romantic comedy film “What If,” airing on cable channel TAG TV this weekend.
Wallace (Daniel) is a med school dropout nursing a broken heart who unexpectedly encounters Chantry (Zoe Kazan) at a house party. The two connect right away until Chantry shoves Wallace away and reveals that she has a boyfriend.
Here are three reasons why “What If” is a must-watch rom-com flick:
Jordan Hoffman cited the film’s great casting in theguardian.com. He wrote, “through it all, though, anyone without a heart black as coal will sit in the theater transforming into human mush and mumbling “aww”.The reason for this – above all else – is the casting. Radcliffe and Kazan are adorable and vulnerable and sincere in equal measure, but this really is Radcliffe’s movie.”
3. Sparkling performances.
According to Justin Chang of variety.com, “their endless dithering is made not just tolerable but ingratiating thanks to sparkling performances and a level of wit, whimsy and self-conscious genre riffery that never gets in the way of emotional sincerity.”
Catch the surprising love story in “What If” airing on cable channel TAG TV this Saturday (September 9) at 8pm with replay on Sunday (Sept. 10) at 10am. Tag TV brings Filipino-dubbed foreign films showcasing a collection of rom-coms, dramas, action-packed movies, thrillers, comedies, and the freshest Hollywood and Asian titles.
