Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited To Air Day and Night Starting Monday, November 7

A string of surprises gripped not only viewers last Saturday night, November 5, but also the Pinoy Big Brother housemates themselves with the revelation of Kuya’s second house and the 15 additional housemates for its back-to-back treat “Pinoy Big Brother UnliDay” and “Pinoy Big Brother UnliNight.”

Before revealing the second house, former model Carlo, despite failing to accomplish all of Kuya’s tasks, was inducted as an official housemate after 12 out of the 13 housemates voted for him to stay.

Following an incredible turn of events, Pamu, Paco, Kevin, Jaz, Kim and Seichang bid a teary farewell after being evicted from the “looban” or the first house, believing their PBB stint had ended there.

One of the biggest twists last night was the revelation that they will only move to Kuya’s industrial-themed house next door that will be featured in a separate program, “Pinoy Big Brother UnliDay,” which will air weekdays before “Reputasyon” on Kapamilya Gold.

Joining them are the Pinay Snow White of Taguig Jessica Connelly, a Filipino-Irish lady who wants to pursue a singing career, the Maabili-Daddy of Quezon Lordwin Claveria, a reformed womanizer who currently works as fish vendor and cellphone technician, and Surigao’s House Maid of Honor Lyn Elimanco, a hard-working househelp of eight years.

“UnliDay” housemates also include a former hostess and painter in Japan, Erica Arlante, the Loving Nanayuki of Bacolod, and the friendly and proud virgin Unad Hernandez, the Maginoong Barako of Batangas. Steph Enage, an insurance agent who dreams of working overseas is the Benta Babe of Leyte, while Mark Luz, who serves as vice president of his family business, is the Model Loverboy of QC.

Also gearing up for the reality show is Naprey Almario, the Strong Wheeled Teacher of Davao, the first PBB housemate with disability. Now a Computer Science instructor, he was stricken with polio when he was eight years old.

Meawhile, completing the “UnliNight” line-up with Kigoy, Biggel, Roy, Divine, Luz, Tin, Carlo, and Slater are the seven new housemates that entered the “looban” last night.

Jerico Redrico, the Hunky Cabalen of Pampanga, left his job in the US to try his luck in Philippine showbiz, while Anatoly Chua, the Driver Sweet Father of Surigao Del Sur, worked as a taxi driver in the US to pay the remaining debts of his family that had returned to the Philippines.

There is Fine Arts graduate Diane Aquino, the Seksi Bossing of QC, and security guard Eting Busarang, the Sekyulele of Cebu, who lived most of his life in a town with no electricity.

Get to know more about the 19-year old breadwinner Casey Austria, the Uragon DJ of Legaspi, Filipino-Indonesian ramp model Wendy Tabusalla, the Biba Rampadora of Muntinlupa, and nursing board exam topnotcher Joya Genzola, the Bini-brainy of Negros Occidental.

For their first task as “UnliNight” housemates, the seven had to soak in a pool of greasy black water before entering the “looban.” Upon entering the house, they must find and persuade a buddy among the original housemates to bathe them without speaking.

Don’t miss the exciting developments in “Pinoy Big Brother UnliNight” with Toni Gonzaga weeknights after “Nasaan Ka Elisa?” in Primetime Bida and “Pinoy Big Brother UnliDay” with Bianca Gonzales weekdays before “Reputasyon” in Kapamilya Gold. Also stay tuned to “PBB Unlimited Updates” with Robi Domingo during “Kapamilya Blockbusters” on ABS-CBN.

"Patrol ng Pilipino" Will Air Documentary on Tau't Bato for its 1st Anniversary Episode

"Patrol ng Pilipino" Will Air Documentary on Tau't Bato for its 1st Anniversary Episode

Patrol ng Pilipino treats its viewers on Tuesday, November 8, with a special film-documentary of Ryan Chua directed by Cannes Best Director Dante Brillante Mendoza as part of the program's first anniversary celebration.

Together with Direk Dante, Ryan endured six hours of land travel, eight hours of trekking two mountains and braved the steep and slippery trails of Singnapan Basin in Rizal, Palawan to visit the dwelling place of Tau't Bato.

"Aside from the eight-hour trek in the jungles of Palawan, spending days in Singnapan was also was a challenge. There's no potable water and electricity, and the place is known to be malaria-endemic," said Ryan.

In the documentary, Ryan tackles the how the tribesmen continue to preserve their rich culture and how they survive the inaccessibility of essential government services concerning health, livelihood and education. He shared, "It may be surprising for some viewers that in this modern age, some indigenous groups like the Tau't Bato are still able to strengthen their native identity. That's why it's a challenge for the government to extend its services to these tribesmen while ensuring the conservation of their ethnic heritage."

Ryan shared that apart from the enriching cultural experience, what made his report more memorable was the rare opportunity of working with Direk Dante. "I felt that I was not only working with him. I was learning from him. Doing this documentary with Direk Dante made me realize that he's more than just a multi-awarded filmmaker: He's a principled storyteller who's deeply in love with reality, and with telling things as they are," he said.

Despite his three-year stint as reporter in ABS-CBN, Ryan admitted that he learned the real value of storytelling in journalism. He shared, "He always stressed the importance of telling the story naturally - from the way I interview and deliver my spiels to writing the script and voicing it."

"For him, the story has to be real, raw, and sincere to be effective. I have known these principles before, but working with a man who lives up to them was very enlightening for a beginner like me," he continued.

Since he became part of Patrol ng Pilipino, Ryan has made a number of memorable documentaries for the program namely "Kuliglig in the City," "Mga Boses ng Bayan?" "Panganib sa Ibayong Dagat," "Simbahang Ladlad," "Section Kuto," "Biyaheng Bangketa," and "Huling Talumpati."

He has tackled timely issues like the story on the consequences of the unrest in Libya for overseas Filipino workers who were forced to return home, a much talked about church for gays and lesbians, and controversial resignation of Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri amid allegations that he benefited from fraud during the 2007 elections.

Join Ryan and Direk Dante as they take an in-depth look at the lives of the Tau't Bato in the special anniversary episode of the 20th KBP Golden Dove Awards' Best Public Affairs Program, Patrol ng Pilipino. The one-year old program was also given a special citation for Best News Magazine in the 33rd Catholic Mass Media Awards and was recently named nominee as Outstanding News Magazine Program in the 2011 Golden Screen TV Awards.

Don't miss "Patrol ng Pilipino," Tuesday night, 9:15 on DZMM TeleRadyo Sky Cable Channel 26 and ABS-CBN Channel 2 right after Bandila.

Ramona Bautista Fakes Abduction According to Police Reports

Ramona Bautista, sister of slained actor-politician Ramgen "Ram" Revilla, might have faked her abduction to cover up the crime according to Paranaque police chief Senior Superintendent Billy Beltran.

Ramona, who has been formally charged with murder and frustrated murder for their brother’s death and the shooting of Ram’s girlfriend Janelle Manahan along with her brother Ramon Joseph "RJ" Bautista and 5 other suspects named Michael Cruz Altia, Roy Francis Tolisora, Glaiza Vista, Norwyn Dela Cruz, and a certain Bryan, initially said that she was abducted after two masked suspects broke into their home at Phase 6, BF Homes, Parañaque City on October 28 and stabbed and shot her brother, Ram and girlfriend Janelle, at close range.

She failed to identify the suspects as they were wearing a "Halloween" type mask, though she was able to describe one as 5’7” tall, wearing a baggy pants and a jacket.

Ramona also said that she was dumped by the suspects near a mall along Alabang-Zapote Road in Las Pinas where she was found by a security guard and responding policemen in a state of shock.

Paranaque police conclude that Ramona faked her statements when Janelle gave her testimonies to authorities yesterday pointing to Ramona and RJ as the primary suspects in the massacre (read related news HERE).

Lito Lapid Cancer Rumor Belied

Senator Lito Lapid refutes reports he has a cancer.

"Nagulat nga ako kasi ang nakarating sa aking balita noong nasa Amerika ako ay may cancer na raw ako. Siyempre, natawa na lang ako kasi wala naman akong gano'ng sakit." Lapid confirms.

How did his family handles the nasty rumor?

"Sinabi ko naman sa kanila na wala silang dapat na ipagbahala dahil okey ako. I'm healthy and there's nothing wrong with me." he said.

According to the Senator, the news all came-out when he went to the US for a medical check-up.

"Malakas pa raw ako at kaya ko pa raw mag-Leon Guerrero!"

Wardrobe Malfunction Fine: Janet Jackson Wardrobe Malfunction Might Cost CBS a $550,000 Fine

Wardrobe malfunction fine for Janet Jackson‘s infamous breast exposure during the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show was overruled by the federal appeals court.

On Wednesday, November 2, the courted ruled that CBS should not be fined $550,000 for Janet Jackson‘s “wardrobe malfunction” during her “Rock Your Body” performance with Justin Timberlake because it was purely an accident.

The Parents Television Council, on the other hand, was not happy with the decision.

PTC President Tim Winter has released a statement regarding this matter:

Today’s ruling reaches the level of judicial stupidity and is a sucker-punch to families everywhere. In rendering an opinion it wishes to foist on the nation, the Third Circuit has chosen to ignore the law, the facts, Supreme Court precedent, the intent of the Congress and the will of the American people

Tim Winter added, “How can nudity and a striptease in front of 90 million unsuspecting TV viewers not qualify as indecency? We’re not talking about content that aired after 10 pm in front of 90 million adults. Each and every year the Super Bowl broadcast draws the highest viewership ratings of the year, including tens of millions of children and families.”

The 3rd Circuit in 2008 struck down the wardrobe malfunction fine, but that decision was vacated when the US Supreme Court in 2009 upheld the FCC policy as rational. It did not decide whether the policy was constitutional, and returned the case to the 3rd Circuit which maintained that it’s not CBS’ fault.

CBS, by the way, was fined $27,500 for each of its 20 stations in the US.

Supermassive Black Hole: A Huge Hole Created by Cosmic Collisions

Supermassive black hole clouds are believed by scientists as the cosmic remains from violent and high-speed collisions between planets and asteroids.

The supermassive black hole clouds are mysterious donut-shaped clouds of dust found near some gigantic black holes and an internatioanal team of astronomers studied a host of upermassive black holes, which reside in the central parts of most galaxies.

“Too bad for life on these planets, but on the other hand the dust created in this way blocks much of the harmful radiation from reaching the rest of the host galaxy,” study author Sergei Nayakshin of England’s University of Leicester said in a statement. “This in turn may make it easier for life to prosper elsewhere in the rest of the central region of the galaxy.”

According to Space.com, the collisions mix with intense radiation, making the planets orbiting these supermassive black holes sterile before they are destroyed.

Ram Revilla Murder Update: GF Janelle Manahan Gives Testimony on the Murder of Ram Revilla

Janelle Manahan, a lucky survivor in the massacre that killed his boyfriend Ramgen "Ram" Revilla in the latter's home at Phase 6, BF Homes, Parañaque City on October 28, gave her testimonies to police authorities today, at the Asian Hospital sa Alabang, Muntinlupa where she is being treated for 2 gunshots.

According to Chief Superintendent Enrique Sy, head of Task Force Ramgen, Janelle's testimonies contradict to the statements provided by Ram's sister, Maria Ramona Bautista, who is now being eyed as one of the prime suspects together with his other brother Ramon Joseph "RJ" Bautista and 5 other suspects named Michael Cruz Altia, Roy Francis Tolisora, Glaiza Vista, Norwyn Dela Cruz, and a certain Bryan.

"Nakuhanan na rin namin siya [Janelle] ng pahayag, at lalong tumibay ang kaso namin laban kay Ramona." Sy declared.

"Dahil sa nakita niya yung pangyayari - yung pinagbuksan raw niya ng pinto si Ramona tapos maya-maya kasunod yung gunman na naka-maskara,"

Sy added that Janelle asked Ramona to call an ambulance right after the attack but Ramona eventually was nowhere to be found.

"Hiningan niya ng tulong si Ramona sa loob ng kuwarto nila noong may tama na sila ng bala.

"Pagkatapos ng insidente, pinakukuha niya ng ambulansiya at tulong, pero hindi na bumalik si Ramona." Sy said.

Janelle's statements contradict to a previous statement made by Ramona, where she said that the man who killed her brother abducted her and then abandoned her somewhere in Las Pinas after the murder.

Authorities are now concluding that Ramona might have concocted her statement in an attempt to clear her name.

RJ was arrested on November 1 at Ram's wake and has been charged with murder and frustrated murder cases, while Ramona is reportedly now in the custody of his half-brother Sen. Bong Revilla Jr.

Sy said they already asked the Senator to turn over her sister to the authorities for questioning but still not able to get any response.

Sy also revealed that the Revilla siblings had been fighting over the monthly allowance from their father allegedly reaching P1 million but was refuted by Portia Ilagan, Revilla family spokesperson, saying she was not aware of any sibling rivalry among the children of former Senator Ramon Revilla Sr.
