“La Luna Sangre” Opens “Power Unlock” Week with a Blast, Beats New GMA-7 Primetime Show

ABS-CBN’s hit action series “La Luna Sangre” kept its stronghold of its primetime slot as it prevailed over its new rival last Monday (November 27).

Based on data from Kantar Media, more viewers tuned in to the start of the show’s “Power Unlock” week and scored a national TV rating of 31.4% from combined urban and rural homes compared to the pilot episode of its rival program with only 15.6%.

Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,610 urban and rural homes that represent 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population.

In Monday’s episode, viewers witnessed how Malia helplessly pleaded to the moon and wished for her to gain power enough to beat Sandrino (Richard Gutierrez) and save Tristan (Daniel Padilla). Her hands suddenly glowed to red - a sign that a new power in her has awaken.

Now that Malia’s powers are unfolding, how will she use it against Sandrino? Will she be able to save Tristan before he dies in his coffin?

Watch Alab Pilipinas vs. Singapore Slingers ABL Match on ABS-CBN S+A at 8PM, November 29

Alab Pilipinas faces ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) powerhouse, the 2016-2017 season’s finalists Singapore Slingers this Wednesday (November 29) at the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Fans can catch the game LIVE at 8pm on S+A and S+A HD.

Bannered by 2016-2017 ABL MVP Bobby Ray Parks, and world imports Reggie Okosa and Ivan Johnson, Alab looks to feed off from the energy of an always-packed Sta. Rosa gym to put a dent on the Slingers’ record as well as get an early upper hand in their budding rivalry.

Alab stood toe-to-toe with their Singaporean counterparts last season, splitting the four games they played. Another interesting note in this matchup is that this season, former Slinger Josh Urbiztondo is playing for the Philippine side after signing up with Alab this year.

The Philippine team hopes to make a deeper run in the new season after falling short of their objective last year: to win a championship. Last November 19 at the MoA Arena, it paraded its new recruits in veterans like Urbiztondo, former DLSU Green Archer Rico Maierhofer, and Cebuano hotshot Dondon Hontiveros alongside new head coach Jimmy Alapag to start its campaign.

Alab almost beat the defending champion Hong Kong Eastern Long Lions last in that game, 89-92, with Okosa leading the charge for the home team with 28 points and 12 rebounds with fellow import and former Atlanta Hawk Ivan Johnson and Parks with 17 markers each. The three will take the cudgels for Alab once more to break into the win column against the Slingers, who defeated CSL Knights Indonesia 77-66 in their home opener behind world import Xavier Alexander, slotman Ryan Wright, and point guard AJ Mandani.

ABL’s exciting home and away format of the young league has endeared itself to fans in every place it visits, packing gyms to the roof as everyone is excited to see the stars from other parts of the Asian region visit their own hardcourt. Filipinos fans get an additional treat as some of our homegrown players are playing as imports in other teams such as the Slingers’ AJ Mandani, the Long Lions’ Christian Standhardinger, and Formosa Dreamers’ James Forrester to name a few.

Don’t miss the festivities at Alab Pilipinas’ home game against 2016-2017 ABL finalists Singapore Slingers in the continuation of the ABL action this Wednesday (November 29) LIVE from the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex in Sta. Rosa, Laguna on on S+A and S+A HD at 8 pm.

The Locally Fruit Truck is our modern take on the ice cream truck - which makes us jump for joy when you see it on the road or hear its bells and music play. We want Filipinos to feel that way - but at the same time celebrating our local fruits and juices, and basically just celebrating being a Pinoy,” said Gretchen King, group product manager-specialty F&B at NutriAsia.

The Locally Fruit Truck will serve free local juices made from homegrown fruits from different regions, exclusive Pinoy mixes co-created with expert liquid chef Liquido Maestro, and other fun Pinoy treats like no other.”

Locally has caught everyone’s attention not only due to its bright-colored and creative packaging but more so because of its fun indigenous flavors.

Now, we want to bring this unique experience closer to more Filipinos by rolling out the Locally Fruit Truck starting with this launch, like how our classic ice cream trucks brought us a refreshing kind of happiness and nostalgia on its wheels,” King added.
