ABS-CBN News began its "Halalan 2019" coverage last November when it began special reports on election-related topics on its multiple media platforms. It also launched the DZMM Ikaw Na Ba: The Senatorial Candidates' Interview series, which was able to feature the most number of senatorial candidates, and four "Harapan 2019 Townhall Debates," where Filipinos all over the country and the world got to know, hear the platforms and stands on issues of those running for senator. Its citizen journalism movement "Bayan Mo, iPatrol Mo" also went all over the nation to promote vigilance and media literacy in schools and communities.
To highlight the issues and concerns of ordinary Filipinos, ABS-CBN News also partnered with artists, songwriters, and rappers in creating election-themed murals and songs that were featured on TV and online on ABS-CBN News' platforms.
