Tyler the Creator Collaborates Anew with Converse in Second Golf Le Fleur Collection

Several years ago, Tyler the Creator had a vision to launch a line of sneakers to go with his Golf Le Fleur* brand. Converse and Tyler talked about joining creative forces to create unique ideas of ownership and identity and everyone thought it was a good idea. From there, the Golf Le Fleur* collection was born.

Together, Converse and Tyler celebrate freedom of expression and choice through collaborative design made for the street.

Building on the energy and excitement of a successful partnership this past Summer, which celebrated the heritage of culture and sport in the Converse One Star silhouette, Tyler brings his imaginative design, aesthetic and bold spirit to create something entirely new with the Golf Le Fleur* collection.

"Justice League" Warns You Can't Save the World Alone

In Warner Bros. Pictures' epic action-adventure Justice League, Earth is in the sightlines of the most malevolent alien force ever, an ancient enemy preying on the vulnerability resulting from the Son of Krypton’s death. If mankind is going to stand a chance of survival, Batman and Wonder Woman must convince her fellow metahumans - Cyborg, Aquaman and The Flash - to unite, and to fight, in defense of humanity.

Picking up shortly after we last saw Bruce and Diana go their separate ways, the story reconnects these two characters who may not always see the same road toward their shared goal. But it’s their shared motivation - to do right by the sacrifice Superman made - that allows them to find common ground very quickly in order to face Steppenwolf, an eight-foot-tall warrior from the nightmare world of Apokolips. He seeks the power to conquer the world and transform it into his own. He is no ordinary villain, and it will take an extraordinary force to defeat him.

Director Zack Snyder states, “Just the idea of getting the Justice League together on the same playing field, taking their place in the cinematic landscape as a team and embarking on an amazing adventure…the mere concept of it was awe-inspiring.”

Charles Roven, who has produced more than half a dozen films in the genre, says, “One of the reasons I produce these movies is because it’s so rewarding - honoring the canon, finding new ways to reinvigorate it, reinventing it for a different medium and creating additional lore as you go. Hopefully the result is something for everyone, fans old and new. And now, with all these characters coming together for the first time, we’re able to introduce a few new characters for movie audiences to get to know…and to follow in the future.”

In the film, the loss of Superman - of hope - is the catalyst for everything that happens, on both sides. But there is little time to mourn, and even less time to take action. Earth is vulnerable, primed for attack because of that void. And because the hero who stood for hope and justice is gone, the League must unite in his stead, to fight for the world he saved.

Producer Deborah Snyder adds, “These characters all have such unique personalities, and such different powers and abilities, and the chance to pool them together to see how powerful they can be as a unit was such a thrill. Not to mention the urgency of their mission. There’s no time to practice. It’s game on from the moment they come together, because this is an extremely formidable enemy.”

To form the League, the story takes us to the ends of the Earth and beyond: from a gritty Gotham to Central City, the populous Paris to the frozen wilds of Iceland, from Themyscira to Atlantis, and from buzzing Metropolis to the serenity of Smallville. If Bruce and Diana can succeed in recruiting the others for this larger-than-life battle in which all their worlds are at stake, they will come together as the greatest team of Super Heroes in the DC universe.

Justice League is distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

Alisah Bonaobra Gets Loud and Proud on Week2 of the X Factor UK Live Show

Comeback Queen Alisah Bonaobra impressed the judges again in today’s episode of the competition.
Mentor Sharon Osbourne referred to her as her Little Filipino Angel and was on her feet after her performance.

This week’s live shows theme is “Viva Latino” where Alisah went beyond her usual power ballads and gave an entertaining song and dance number for everyone. Her performance of Let’s Get Loud  by Jennifer Lopez wowed all the judges.

Nicole Scherzinger could not help but express her admiration on Alisah’s performance. “I love it! You become this fierce piece wild animal when you get on that stage! You unleashed on that stage. You became a Latina-Filipina diva that you are! You make all Filipinas and Filipinos so proud. You shut it down tonight. You’re a little firecracker out there!

Judge Louis Walsh was also in great awe after her song and dance number. “Alisah, where did that come from? At the start of the whole series, I thought you can just sing the big ballads; and now you turned into this little tiger tonight!” he shared. “It was amazing energy. I love the singing, the dancing! I love the whole staging by the creative team. It was fantastic!” he added.

There’s no messing around with you, is there? You just bring it!” said Simon Cowell. Before he gave her a constructive criticism, he specifically asked the audience not to boo him. “You, at some point Alisah, are gonna have to put your own unique twist on a song. Otherwise, it will be considered cabaret and that won’t get you to where you want to be.” The audience and the other judges kept booing and Simon had to yell at them to shut up.

Girls category mentor Sharon Osbourne was all praises to her wildcard winner. “You are more than just a ballad singer, much, much more! You have so impressed me tonight. You’ve come out of your comfort zone and it was spectacular!

ABS-CBN Unveils Newest Drama Series “Love Will Lead You Back” Starring Jericho Rosales, Yen Santos and Sam Milby

ABS-CBN, the largest multi-media conglomerate in the Philippines, formally announced the upcoming small screen team ups of Jericho Rosales, Yen Santos, Yam Concepcion, and Sam Milby in its newest drama about marriage, family, and love titled “Love Will Lead You Back”, coming soon via The Filipino Channel (TFC)’s various platforms worldwide.

Unlike the other shows which focus on infidelity, we went the other way around. The thrust of our show is how to stay faithful in your marriage. You are also going to see real characters that will struggle on how they will fix their respective marriages,” says Jericho at the recently held media announcement.

Jericho, who is tagged as the Asian Drama King, has starred before in several ABS-CBN shows like “The Legal Wife” in 2014, “Bridges of Love” in 2015, and “Magpahanggang Wakas” in 2017.

“Love Will Lead You Back” marks the first time Rosales and Milby will work on a teleserye together. The show also serves as a reunion project for Milby and director FM Reyes.

Direk FM was my director in my first teleserye, which was ‘Maging Sino Ka Man’. After 12 years, we will be working with each other again so I am really excited”, shares Sam.

Aside from “Maging Sino Ka Man” in 2007, Milby has also previously starred in other ABS-CBN series like “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala” in 2013, and “Doble Kara” in 2015.

Yen and Yam, meantime, return to the spotlight as the show’s leading ladies and are both equally excited to start taping.

Before, I was only watching them on TV. Now I have the chance to work with them,” Yam gushes.

My character here is different from what I have done before, which were light roles. Here, I’m more mature and I’m even married,” Yen relates.

The two actresses have already showcased their acting prowess in other ABS-CBN shows: Santos has starred in the TV series “Pure Love” and is currently seen in “Wildflower”; while Concepcion starred in the family-oriented show “Langit Lupa” and is now seen in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano”.

Also joining the cast are Allan Paule, Lotlot de Leon, Amy Austria, Cris Villanueva, Christian Bables, Hero Angeles, and Gab Lagman.

“Love Will Lead You Back” is under the production unit headed by Ruel Bayani, coming soon in the Philippines via ABS-CBN, and outside the country via The Filipino Channel.

Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla Lead Nationwide Bloodletting Event

“La Luna Sangre” stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla led the bloodletting event held at the Philippine Red Cross headquarters  last Sunday (November 5), simultaneous with 23 other blood donation drives organized by Kathniel fans in different parts of the country.

Shortage of blood in the country is really a point of concern. We know some cases wherein it was hard for people to collect blood. I hope those who did not come today still donate blood in some other days so we can help our fellow Filipinos,” said Daniel.

The event was able to generate 50,000 cc of blood.

Aside from the bloodletting, Daniel and Kathryn also took the opportunity to shed light on their cyberbullying advocacy as CyberSmile ambassadors.

The two reiterated their call to stop online bashing and for each and everyone to make a stand against cyberbullying.

Kathryn and Daniel continue to topbill the hit primetime teleserye “La Luna Sangre,” which remains to be one of the most watched programs in the country.  Last Friday (Nov 3), viewers were at the edge of their seats when Tristan’s heart stopped beating after Prof T. (Albert Martinez) gave him a virus to protect him from becoming a vampire.

The different reaction of the virus in Tristan’s blood roused the curiosity of Prof T. and Samantha (Maricar Reyes) about his real identity. What is the mystery behind Tristan? How is Tristan connected to Sandrino (Richard Gutierrez)?

Don’t miss “La Luna Sangre,” weeknights after “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” on ABS-CBN and on ABS-CBN HD (SkyCable ch 167).

OtterBox and LifeProof Launch Full Case Lineups for New iPhones

You’ve just purchased that expensive new iPhone 8, iph8 Plus and the iPhone X.1. You aren’t going to use just any cute case from the bazaar in your neighborhood, aren’t you?

This is serious stuff and you need a case that will protect your phone.

OtterBox has set the standard of iPhone protection from the very beginning. OtterBox, the No. 1-selling smartphone case in the US, continues to uphold that tradition with a full lineup of cases for iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X.

Starting with Defender Series, OtterBox has innovated 26 different case styles for iPhone over the past decade. Case designs have evolved to be more sleek and to accommodate an ever-increasing number of features, but one thing has remained the same: trusted protection.

"OtterBox is proud to be the only case company that's protected every single iPhone," said OtterBox CEO Jim Parke.

Each iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X case design undergoes a minimum of 24 tests across more than 238 hours to earn the OtterBox Certified Drop+ Protection seal. These tests ensure lasting protection from drops, bumps, scratches and dings.

There's an OtterBox case for everyone:

 The fashionable Symmetry Series is sleek with a raised, beveled edge that provides extra protection for the touchscreen during facedown drops. Available in classic solids, trendy graphics, fully clear and clear graphics, it's the perfect fashion statement.

 Pursuit Series guards against drop, dust, dirt and snow intrusion, perfect for an outdoor adventure or average day in the office. 2  This two-piece case snaps around each device for a perfect fit. The open-face design seals directly to the display and the case includes an optional lanyard.

 Defender Series is the original protective case for iPhone with 10 years of design and development behind it. The rugged multi-layer case features a shell and outer slipcover to absorb and dissipate shock.

 Two form-fitting layers combine to create the thin, protective Commuter Series. The outer shell and inner slipcover combine to pull shock away from the device, and port covers keep debris out.

 Strada Series Folio offers a luxurious 100 percent genuine leather cover and trusted protection. The folio front clasps securely closed with a magnet to guard the display from scratches and includes a card slot.

 The uniVERSE Case System features a slim, protective OtterBox case with a modular rail mount on the back that allows attachment of a variety of accessories. OtterBox has partnered with other industry leaders to enhance uniVERSE with accessories like a contactless card reader, additional storage, bike mounts, tripods, wallets and more.

 Keep the touchscreen brilliant with Alpha Glass fortified screen guards. Compatible with Symmetry Series, Pursuit Series, Commuter Series, Strada Series Folio and uniVERSE Case System, these screen guards block out scratches and complete device protection.

But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).

Filipina Singer Alisah Bonaobra Returns to the X Factor UK, Earns a Standing Ovation on Live Show

Twenty-two-year-old Alisah Bonaobra won UK’s heart and made it back to the live shows on The X Factor UK. Viewers were asked to vote for an eliminated act from the Judges’ House round whom they want to come back and compete in the live shows.

On Sunday’s episode, it was a battle between the Boys and the Girls categories with the theme “Express Yourself.” The X Factor UK hopefuls performed a song of their choice related to the theme.
While introducing her wildcard winner, Sharon Osbourne was very thankful to the public for bringing Alisah back.

Alisah performed "This is My Now" by Jordin Sparks, which greatly impressed the judges and the audience. After her performance, the judges were on their feet and had nothing but compliments for her.

That song is absolutely perfect for you because this is your now and you deserve to be back on the show. You always should have been on the show!” said Louis Walsh. “It’s almost like a winner’s song, and I love a power ballad with a key change from a great singer and you are a great singer! You’re a great performer. You got great soul and I love the way you fight back!” he added.

Nicole Scherzinger agreed with Louis and referred to Alisah as her little Disney warrior princess. “You just hiya-d and karate chopped all through that song! But you did it with grace. You did it with poise. You did it with strength. I freakin’ adore you!” she expressed. “I look at you and I’m like that’s my little ninja Filipina sister up there! You were meant to be up there, like [what Louis] said, this is your now, because that’s your stage, and you just took it tonight, honey!” she added.

Everybody says in this contest that they really want this, and they really need to be here. I know your story. I know what you’ve gone through. And you know what? With a voice like yours, you’re gonna be here ‘til the end, Miss! I am so happy for you, so, so happy!” said judge and Girls category mentor Sharon Osbourne.

On the taped interview, Alisah called herself the “comeback queen.” She looked back at her journey where she was let go but asked to come back and fight for her spot at the Six Chair Challenge. Now she is back again as the wildcard winner.

When host Dermot O’Leary asked the judges who they thought won the night, the lady judges Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne both favored Alisah.

Alisah survived week 1 of the live shows and will continue with her journey on the competition.

Watch out for Alisah’s next performances on The X Factor UK on RTL CBS Entertainment. For more updates follow RTL CBS Entertainment on Facebook at www.facebook.com/RTLCBSEntertainment, @RTLCBSEntertainment on Instagram and @RTLCBSEntertain on Twitter.

TRUEMONEY Reaches the 1 Million Customer Mark in the Philippines

TrueMoney Philippines recently achieved one of their biggest milestones to date.

In less than a year of operations in the country, the company already reached its 1 million transacting customer mark. TrueMoney is a Fintech brand of Ascend Money, a digital finance venture of the C.P. Group from Thailand, one of the largest diversified conglomerates in Asia, and Ant Financial (Alipay), the payments arm of e-commerce giant Alibaba Group.

Humble Beginnings and Rapid Growth

It wasn’t so long ago when TrueMoney Philippines was just a business concept on a set of PowerPoint slides.

Within the first few months, TrueMoney Philippines grew its workforce from one person to hundreds of employees spread across several regions in the country. The team also launched its core technology system and began offering services on a pilot basis to several partners.

In a few months’ time, it already built what is now one of the largest payment and remittance networks in the country, with over 5,000 TrueMoney Centers.

Our mission is to provide everyone with ACCESS to affordable and innovative financial services, particularly those who are underbanked and underserved today,” says TrueMoney Philippines CEO Xavier Marzan. “That means being pervasive and going to where these underserved segments are.”

Today, TrueMoney Philippines already provides services such as payment of e-commerce purchases, bills payment, buying of load and credits, and remittance to multiple provinces nationwide, including far flung areas in Albay, Bataan, Benguet, Bohol, Bukidnon, Cagayan de Oro, Camarines Sur, Cavite, Cebu, Davao, Ilocos, Isabela, Laguna, La Union, Metro Manila, Misamis Oriental, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Quezon, Rizal, Tarlac, and Zambales and more!

Where we are today is just the starting point,” Marzan says. “We are constantly growing our network of partner centers to cover more greenfield areas.

With an empowered footprint of TrueMoney Centers in strategic corridors, TrueMoney introduced its Money Padala (remittance) service a few months ago. For TrueMoney’s Partner Agents, this meant a more diversified portfolio of services and a greater potential of earning higher income. For its customers, it meant convenience and affordability as TrueMoney’s cash-to-cash Money Padala service is one of the lowest sending rates in the country.

While the average rates for domestic remittances today range from 3 percent to more than 10 percent for some providers, TrueMoney rates go as low as only 2 percent of the transaction amount - without any additional charges to the recipient. So say for remittances of P1,000, the total cost of sending is only P20. The recipient also gets the entire amount without any additional charges.

To reinforce its drive to serve the masses, TrueMoney has also worked with talk show host Boy Abunda in promoting the new brand in the Philippine market.

This is just the first step,” Marzan adds. “In the coming months, we will be launching additional payment partners and expanding our portfolio of services. Given our industry, we need to constantly stay ahead of what the market demands. We need to be at the forefront of innovation to address current gaps in the market with new products as well as to solve difficult challenges in an emerging market like ours with new capabilities.

"Walang Takot!" The 13th Cinema One Originals Festival Coming this November

Walang Takot. The tagline of the 13th Cinema One Originals translates into ‘fearless’ in English and is more than an apt descriptor for the festival’s programming ethos and its reputation, the way it has, year in and year out, shepherded unique, adventurous cinematic voices into the limelight.

But Walang Takot also exemplifies not only the way the festival is embracing the changing face and attitudes of cinema, from the paradigm shifts when it comes to new ways of watching films to the influx of a diverse new audience, with a deeper sense of cinematic history and new cinematic modes, but also the way it endeavors to ride the changes by closing the gaps, striving for a cinematic experience that allows for the co-existence of old and new platforms and the convergence of old and new audiences, where past and future cinema occupy the same evolutionary continuum, looking back by moving forward.

The two films that make up this year’s documentary section are both examinations of a past with uncanny present-day resonances but from diverse vantage points. Dempster Samarista’s “Bundok Banahaw, Sacred and Profane” is an exploration of the titular mystical mountain, using secret histories and sacred knowledge as a way of piecing together our cultural psyche. Phyllis Grande’s “Haunted: A Visit to the Red House” focuses on the atrocities visited by Japanese soldiers on comfort women during World War 2, a horrendous collective memory that remains eerily relevant and refuses to be forgotten.

There are seven films in the full-length narrative section, including two returning alumni, two debuts and two much-awaited second features. In “Paki,” Dagitab director Giancarlo Abrahan casts veteran character actress Dexter Doria in her very first lead role as woman in her golden years whose children tries to stop her from leaving her husband of sixty years to live the rest of her days out as an old maid. Shamaine Buencamino and Noel Trinidad co-star.

Nervous Translation,” about a shy girl who discovers a pen that can translate the thoughts and feelings of people when they get nervous, is written and directed by Cinema One alumna Shireen Seno, whose “Big Boy” was part of Cinema One Originals 2013, itself a slightly odd, often magical childhood reverie. Jana Agoncillo and Sid Lucero star.

Richard Somes, of “Yanggaw,” “Ishmael” and “Mariposa” fame, returns to Cinema One for his fourth outing in the festival, with “Historiographika Errata,” an elaborate historical mosaic that attempts to figure out why we are what we are, throwing in the mix a suicidal Rizal, a cross-dressing Bonifacio and the widow who became the first Makapili. The sprawling, ambitious film features Joem Bascon, Alex Medina, Maxine Eigenmann and Nathalie Hart.

For his first outing with Cinema One, “Walang Forever” director Dan Villegas adapts Vincent De Jesus’ much-loved stage musical “Changing Partners,”  a bittersweet exploration of relationships told in perspectives of various genders, starring Agot Isidro, Anna Luna, Jojit Lorenzo and Sandino Martin.

Kip Oebanda, fresh off the success of “Bar Boys,” is directing the aswang inversion “Nay,” about a man suffering from a terminal disease who uncovers a dark family secret. Enchong Dee, Sylvia Sanchez and Jameson Blake star.

The two first features this year are Fatrick Tabada and Rae Red’s “Si Chedeng At Si Apple,” a dark comedy where Elizabeth Oropesa and Gloria Diaz play two old girl friends who become accidental criminals and embark on a road trip with a severed head in a fake Louis Vuitton bag, and Joseph Teoxon’s time-jumping “Throwback Today,” in which Carlo Aquino plays a disgruntled young man at the end of his rope who stumbles on an impossible way to rewrite his own history. Annicka Dolonius, Empress Shuck and Allan Paule co-star.

The year’s world cinema highlights also grace this year’s foreign film line-up, a 13 –strong program that includes Robin Campillo’s “Beats Per Minute,” Claire Denis’ “Let The Sun Shine In,” Francois Ozon’s “L’Amant Double,” Ildiko Enyedi’s “On Body And Soul,” Joachim Trier’s “Thelma,” Hirokazu Koreeda’s “The Third Murder,” Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s “Before We Vanish,” Sebastian Leilo’s “A Fantastic Woman,” Amit Masurkar’s “Newton,” Lucrecia Martel’s “Zama, The Safdie Brothers’ Good Time,” Warwick Thornton’s “Sweet Country,” Luca Guadagnino’s “Call Me By Your Name,” and the 4K restoration of Steven Spielberg’s science-fiction classic “Close Encounters of the Third Kind.”

Among the restored classics to be showcased this year include Marilou Diaz Abaya’s “Moral,” Jeffrey Sonora’s “Asedillo,” Celso Ad Castillo’s “Tag Ulan Tag Araw” and Danny Zialcita’s “Langis At Tubig.” Restored versions Zialcita’s “Karma,” Abaya’s “Karnal” and Lino Brocka’s “Cain at Abel” will also be screened.

Lastly, Sari Dalena’s documentary on Ishmael Bernal, “Ishma,” will screen to coincide with the launch of the new Ishmael Bernal book, “ProBernal Anti Bio,” written by Ishmael Bernal himself with Jorge Ayago and Angela Stuart-Santiago.

The 13th Cinema One Originals runs from November 13-21 at Trinoma, Glorietta, Gateway, UP Cine Adarna, Cinema 76 and Cinematheque with an extended run from November 22-28 at the Power Plant Mall.

Alisah Bonaobra Was Sent Home By Sharon Osbourne At The Judges House Round of X Factor UK

Filipina singer Alisah Bonaobra was sent home by judge and mentor Sharon Osbourne at the judges’ house round on Sunday’s episode of the show.  She sang her version of Sam Smith’s hit song Lay Me Down in front of Sharon and her children Jack and Kelly. After her performance, the Osbourne children were both very impressed.

She can sing!” expressed by Kelly Osbourne.

To which her brother Jack agreed. “That’s the cleanest performance we’ve seen.”

Every time we’ll hear her sing, she’s been consistent, the only reason I didn’t put her through at six chairs- ‘coz she was out- she was in, was because every song she sang was like Whitney Houston, or a Disney song which you can’t do week after week because it becomes cheese fest.” Sharon said after Alisah’s performance.

Alisah was then asked by host Dermot O’Leary if she thinks she’s done enough and she gave an optimistic response. “Hopefully I’ve done enough because I just gave [it] my all.”

When the decision was made, Sharon brought the news to all the contestants through a one-on-one conversation. While talking to Alisah, Sharon made sure to acknowledge the talent and hard work she had been putting.

You have the most amazing voice, I know that you really need this and you really want it. But I feel that you’re kind of very one-dimensional, your power ballads, and even though that’s fantastic, I wanna see other sides of you,” Sharon first told Alisah.

This is a very, very hard decision for me. A very, very hard decision and I didn’t come to it lightly,” Sharon added. “I’m so sorry but I’m gonna be sending you home.”

Alisah just burst out in tears as host Dermot gave her a tight hug.

The X Factor UK airs first and exclusive on RTL CBS Entertainment same day as the UK on Sundays and Mondays at 10:30am with primetime encores Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays at 9:00pm.
