Korea's Favorites Han So-hee, Park Hee-soon, Ahn Bo-hyun, Kim Sang-ho, Lee Hak-ju and Jang Yull in Star in Netflix's Action Series "Undecover"

Netflix, the world’s leading streaming entertainment service, confirmed casting for its new action noir series "Undercover" (working title). The outstanding team of actors includes Han So-hee, Park Hee-soon, Ahn Bo-hyun, Kim Sang-ho, Lee Hak-ju and Jang Yull.

Undercover (working title) tells the story of Ji-u, who joins a drug cartel and becomes a mole in the police force to seek the truth behind her father’s death. She encounters harsh truths in the course of carrying out her revenge.

Han So-hee, best known for her recent performance in the hit series The World of the Married, takes on the powerful role of Yun Ji-u, who enters a criminal organization to avenge her father who died under suspicious circumstances. She becomes the organization’s undercover agent in the police force and begins delving into the secret behind her father’s death.

Park Hee-soon (The Witch: Part 1. The Supervision, 1987) portrays Choi Mu-jin, who is the kingpin of Dongcheon, the country’s top drug cartel. He is an indecipherable character who takes Yun Ji-u under his wings and turns her into an undercover agent.

Ahn Bo-hyun, who made an impression as the not-so-hateable villain in Itaewon Class, will play police detective Jeon Pil-do of the narcotics unit, who is Ji-u’s competent, gutsy and scrupulous partner in investigation.

Kim Sang-ho, best known to Netflix viewers for his performance in the popular Korean original series Kingdom, will play Cha Gi-ho, the chief of the narcotics unit. He becomes obsessed with bringing down the Dongcheon cartel before his retirement, mightily clashing with Choi Mu-jin in the process.

Lee Hak-ju (Sweet Munchies, The World of the Married, Watching) will play Choi Mu-jin’s underling Jung Tae-ju, whose unconditional loyalty and obedience earns him the rare trust of his boss.

Jang Yull will portray Do Gang-jae, a cartel member ousted for causing trouble. He later wields his vengeful knife against Yun Ji-u, adding another layer of conflict to the story.

Promising thrilling action and explosive characters, Undercover (working title), written by Kim Va-da (Life Risking Romance, The Huntresses), will be produced by STUDIO SANTA CLAUS ENTERTAINMENT Co., Ltd (f.k.a Fleet Co., Ltd) and directed by Kim Jin-min, who amazed audiences with the Netflix original series Extracurricular in the first half of 2020.

Undercover (working title) will be released worldwide, only on Netflix.

Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Winners to be Announced on GMA-7 on October 25

Miss Universe Philippines National Director and Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup-Lee announced that the much-anticipated coronation night of the first-ever Miss Universe Philippines will be aired over GMA 7 on October 25.

We’re happy to officially announce that Miss Universe Philippines 2020 will be aired this October 25 on GMA!” she said in an interview on 24 Oras.

Shamcey also said that it will be a "mix of online and actual pageant." The pageant released the Ring Light series - an eight-episode series that brings viewers beyond the preparations for the pageant by featuring the passion, hard work, and the advocacies that each candidate stands for, to spread hope and inspiration to Filipinos especially during these trying times. They used the word ring light in the title since the candidates were given their own ring light and production team to shoot the needed footages for each episode.
"People would always say that maybe pageants are not essential at this time. We are here to rally initiatives and spread kindness. We are not just glitz and glamour, we are harbingers of hope. But of course marami pa ding mga fun activities like makeup, runway. And eventually, on the finale, you will be able to watch the coronation night of the first ever Miss Universe Philippines." she added.

The Ring Light series is also a fundraising activity of the organization. Portions of the proceeds from the subscription fee will either be donated to a specific organization that the pageant has sponsored or a candidate's chosen beneficiary.

Fans can check their chosen candidates' Instagram page for the referral code to use in buying their subscription. All episodes will be streamed on Empire.ph.

Who will be the Philippines’ next representative in the Miss Universe competition and maybe follow in the footsteps of former Miss Universe winners Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran, Pia Wurtzbach, and Catriona Gray?

Catch the coronation night on GMA-7 on October 25.

First Look: "The Comeback Trail," an Action-Packed Comedy Starring Robert de Niro, Morgan Freeman, and Tommy Lee Jones

TBA Studios has released the official trailer for the action-packed comedy “The Comeback Trail”.

Watch the trailer on the following links:

In “The Comeback Trail”, two movie producers (Robert De Niro and Zach Braff) who owe money to the mob (Morgan Freeman) set up their aging movie star Duke Montana (Tommy Lee Jones) for an insurance scam to try to save themselves. The plan is simple: “accidentally” kill Montana during a stunt and then collect the insurance money.

The big hitch in the plan, however, is that Montana can’t seem to die. In the trailer alone, the washed-up action star hilariously and impressively makes it out alive after each death-defying stunt.

Hollywood screen legends and Oscar winners—Robert De Niro, Tommy Lee Jones, and Morgan Freeman lead the star-studded cast for “The Comeback Trail”. Other cast members include Zach Braff (TV’s Scrubs), Emile Hirsch (Once Upon A Time in Hollywood), Eddie Griffin (Undercover Brother), and Kate Katzman (This Is The Year).

George Gallo directs from a script he wrote with Josh Posner in a remake of Harry Hurwitz’s 1982 film of the same name.

Coming soon to Philippine cinemas, “The Comeback Trail” is produced by Storyboard Media and distributed by Cloudburst Entertainment in the US and TBA Studios in the Philippines.

Kyla and Kiko “KIKX” Salazar Set Off '90s R&B Nostalgia in New Song "TLC"

Queen of R&B Kyla and songwriter-producer Kiko “KIKX” Salazar are set on pulling listeners to a soothing ‘90s R&B music throwback with their upcoming Star Music single “TLC,” dropping on music platforms this Friday (October 9).

The track, which professes affection for a special someone and voices anticipation for a more intimate relationship, carries a heavy R&B vibe so KIKX said it was only fitting that the Philippines’ Queen of R&B brought it to life.

Nothing excites me more than working with someone I’ve looked up to since the beginning of my songwriting journey,” he shared, recalling how in 2008 he would pretend to write songs for Kyla.

A few years later, to my surprise, she recorded a few of those songs, and another year after, won my first Awit Awards with her,” he added. “So celebrating my 10 years of music would not be complete without our R&B queen and now my dear friend, Kyla.”

Composer KIKX also refers to “TLC” as “the ultimate tribute to the ‘90s era” as it bears the influence of American artist Babyface, whom he credits as a great inspiration to him as a musician.

It is also one of the songs under KIKX’s “After Dark ‘The Final Hour’” EP to celebrate his 10th year anniversary in the music industry. Sam Mangubat’s “Hindi Na Nga” and Lance Busa’s “Sa Aking Mundo” are also part of the project.

Meanwhile, Kyla just recently collaborated with her fellow female Southeast Asian artists for the inspirational single “HEAL” for the benefit of ABS-CBN’s Pantawid ng Pag-ibig.

Watch out for the release of “TLC” on digital streaming platforms this Friday (October 9)!

Check out the first look images for Ryan Murphy's "The Prom" starring Meryl Streep, James Corden, Nicole Kidman, Keegan-Michael Key and Kerry Washington.

About "The Prom"

Dee Dee Allen (three-time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep) and Barry Glickman (Tony Award winner James Corden) are New York City stage stars with a crisis on their hands: their expensive new Broadway show is a major flop that has suddenly flatlined their careers. Meanwhile, in small-town Indiana, high school student Emma Nolan (newcomer Jo Ellen Pellman) is experiencing a very different kind of heartbreak: despite the support of the high school principal (Keegan-Michael Key), the head of the PTA (Kerry Washington) has banned her from attending the prom with her girlfriend, Alyssa (Ariana DeBose). When Dee Dee and Barry decide that Emma's predicament is the perfect cause to help resurrect their public images, they hit the road with Angie (Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman) and Trent (Andrew Rannells), another pair of cynical actors looking for a professional lift. But when their self-absorbed celebrity activism unexpectedly backfires, the foursome find their own lives upended as they rally to give Emma a night where she can truly celebrate who she is.

Directed by Ryan Murphy and also starring Tracey Ullman, Kevin Chamberlin, Mary Kay Place, Logan Riley, Nico Greetham, Sofia Deler, and Nathaniel J. Potvin, The Prom is the spectacular, big-hearted film adaptation of Chad Beguelin, Bob Martin and Matthew Sklar’s award-winning, Tony-nominated Broadway musical. Screenplay by Bob Martin and Chad Beguelin; the film is produced by Ryan Murphy, Dori Berinstein, Bill Damaschke, Alexis Martin Woodall and Adam Anders.

The Prom premieres December 11 on Netflix.

Lifestyle website Metro.Style launched a “Most Beautiful Korean Actresses” poll, which gathered over 2.8 million votes from fans and proclaimed “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” star Seo Ye-ji as the winner, followed by “Crash Landing on You's” Son Ye-jin.

Bringing the #KFeverOnMetro campaign to the next level, Metro.Style initiated the poll to give tribute to these female Korean stars, who have kept many Filipinos company through binge-watching their K-dramas during the pandemic.

The campaign was launched last August, and fans were asked to nominate the Korean actresses they find to be deserving to be called “most beautiful.” The nominees were Kim Ji-won (“Fight for My Way” and “Arthdal Chronicles”), Lee Ji-eun or IU (“Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” and “Hotel del Luna”), Kim Hyun-joo (“What’s With This Family” and “I Have a Lover”), Park Min-young (“Healer” and “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim”), Song Ji-hyo (“Princess Hours” and “Emergency Couple”), Song Hye-kyo (“Full House” and “Descendants of the Sun”), Ku Hye-sun (“Boys Over Flowers” and “Angel Eyes”), Son Ye-jin (“Something in the Rain” and “Crash Landing on You”), Kim Go-eun (“Guardian: The Lonely and Great God” and “The King: Eternal Monarch”), and Seo Ye-ji (“Lawless Lawyer” and “It’s Okay to Not be Okay”)

The next phase of the campaign invited fans to vote for the Top 10 nominees from September 11 to September 29 via an online poll system. After more than two weeks of voting, Seo Ye-ii emerged as the winner with 43.44% of the total number of votes, which is equivalent to 1,249,630 votes. The lifestyle website has been riding the Korean wave since this phenomenon experienced a new surge in popularity in recent months. It has become a go-to source for K-drama and K-pop content, and even scored exclusive features with K-pop girl group Momoland and “Crash Landing on You” superstar Hyun Bin.

Support Small Businesses by Shopping Through Jeepney TV's “Kumu-nity Bazaar”

A new kind of shopping adventure begins in the Pinoy live streaming app Kumu through Jeepney TV’s “Kumu-nity Bazaar,” a live shopping experience which provides consumers the opportunity to shop from merchants pitching and selling their products real time online.

Taking off this October 6 (Tuesday), the exciting program paves way for potential customers to interact virtually and buy a variety of goods straight from hardworking online sellers who will be showcasing their offers via live stream.

It is also a great avenue to support local and small businesses, most of which were founded as a result of lost livelihood sources because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

For its launching episode, “Kumu-nity Bazaar” will feature Kapamilya food sellers or retrenched ABS-CBN workers who have ventured into making delectable homemade food products to provide for their families after they lost their jobs as a consequence of the Congress’ denial of the network’s franchise renewal.

In a span of two hours, these merchants will present their mouth-watering fares - from food trays, ready-to-cook meals, to baked goods - to streamers who are also potential customers.

In the succeeding weeks, the online bazaar will spotlight sellers of work-from-home essentials, quality Filipino beauty must-haves, and health and wellness products.

The “Kumu-nity Bazaar” is another addition to the many digital offerings of ABS-CBN’s FYE Channel on Kumu, which provides entertainment, tutorials, insightful talks, games, and more to viewers through live streaming.

Jamie Rivera Ignites Filipino Christmas Cheer with Song "Ber Months Na Naman"

Jamie Rivera is igniting the Filipino Christmas cheer amid difficult times through a reimagined version of her song “Disyembre Na Naman” now aptly titled “Ber Months Na Naman,” set to be released this Friday (October 9).

It’s the ‘Ber’ season again, time to prepare for the much-awaited celebration of the year, Christmas,” the Inspirational Diva teased.

The cheerful song, which details many of the beloved Filipino Christmas traditions like hanging a lantern, gift-giving, Noche Buena feast, and night mass, is a perfect kick starter for the onset of the Yuletide season which starts during the ‘Ber’ months in the Philippines.

Although the celebration will be arguably different this 2020 compared to the previous years, Jamie hopes that the song still sets Filipinos’ sights on what is really important during the Christmas season.

Let us be reminded that the gift of love will always be the same and even in the new normal, the joy of giving will stay and will remain,” she explained.

“Ber Months Na Naman” was written and produced by Jamie, while its music was composed and arranged by Denis Quila.

Recently, the Star Music artist also dropped the Tagalog version of her song “Heal Our Land” called “Hilumin Mo, Bayan Ko.”

Look forward to a merry Christmas festivity by streaming Jamie’s “Ber Months Na Naman,” out on various digital streaming services this Friday (October 9).

Trending: “Prutas Pilipinas,” a Filipino Folk Song that Reminds to Eat Fruits and Stay Healthy

If you love classics "Bahay Kubo" and "Da Coconut Nut", then you are likely to enjoy a new song that has been recently creating buzz, called "Prutas Pilipinas." Music by National Artist Ryan Cayabyab, lyrics by Noel Ferrer and performed by The Company, the song was created in collaboration with local juice brand, Locally, and aims to educate and celebrate one of the best things we as Filipinos can be proud of – our fruits.

In line with Locally's mission of honoring our Filipino farmers and their crops, this collaboration with top Filipino music artists entitled "Prutas Pilipinas" is a contemporary Filipino folk song featuring rhymes and riddles about homegrown fruits, both known and unknown.

We are extremely proud of this unique collaboration between icons. Ryan Cayabyab is a national artist, Noel Ferrer is a well-known and respected lyricist with a deep knowledge of Filipino culture, The Company, is an amazing group of talented Filipino singers, and Maribel Garcia is a passionate advocate of the arts being the head of BGC’s art program as well as Mind Museum,” says Gretchen King, Locally Category Manager. “Filipinos are of course known to love music, so we wanted to reach out to them through this medium.”

Nature, music, and science come together in our song “Prutas Pilipinas”. What better way to celebrate life than to sing a song about our fruits that give us life!” says Ryan Cayabyab

A way to spread more knowledge about something we all eat every day, “Prutas Pilipinas” not only names popular fruits, like mangoes, melons, and grapes but also more unique ones like chico, mangosteen, and dragonfruit. The song also mentions how nutritious and good these local fruits are, Locally’s way of championing what is proudly our own.

I thought that it would be a good opportunity to start from basic fruits and expand it to a collective push for a healthy nation - para sa masigla, magaling at masayang Pilipinas. The genius of our National Artist Mr. Cayabyab, as shown in the excellent music, and the exceptional vocal quality and harmony of The Company made the song truly fun, dynamic, and meaningful,” shares Noel Ferrer.

We feel that it is our mission to not only introduce these Philippine fruits through our juices but also to imbibe the knowledge and culture in every Filipino, especially today’s youth,” King continues.

“Prutas Pilipinas is that rare moment in OPM where we get to tick all of the right boxes. This contemporary folk song is entertaining, educational and edifying.

Transcending merely sensory enjoyment, this song becomes a pro-active participant in nation-building,” says The Company founding member, Moy Ortiz.

The song has three versions – the first is the main song which has already been released and is quickly growing in popularity on Spotify. Set to be released soon, the second version integrates a little bit of “bugtungan” at the song’s beginning, while the third version is short and easy to memorize, made to be shared in schools nationwide through DepEd.

This song is just the beginning,” says King. “We have exciting plans in collaboration with DepEd to integrate learning about Filipino fruits in the curriculum. We strongly believe that loving local and supporting our own is a culture that can be taught and encouraged at a young age. Our country produces some of the best and most amazing fruits in the world, and it’s time for all of us to know about and be proud of them,” concludes King.

“Prutas Pilipinas” is available for streaming on Spotify at this link: https://rb.gy/yp1nc5, and soon, on YouTube. Locally juices are available in all leading convenience stores and supermarkets. For more information, you may visit @Locally_PH on Instagram and Facebook.

Isa, laban sa lahat!

Beginning October 3, a new breed of talented contenders will battle it out towards becoming the next singing sensation on GMA Network’s all-original musical competition – The Clash Season 3

Known for its exciting twists at every round, this season promises fiercer and tougher singing face-offs where only the best of the best Clashers all over the country will make it to the top.

Returning as Clash Masters are Total Heartthrob Rayver Cruz and Asia’s Pop Diva Julie Anne San Jose who are both eager to be back on-stage as the competition’s hosts.

Masaya and excited kami,” Rayver said. “Alam namin na mahirap magbalik-trabaho lalo na sa panahon ngayon pero nandito kami para ihatid ang minahal ng viewers na mga pasabog ng The Clash at para ipakilala ang bagong mahuhusay na Clashers.”

Julie Anne shared that preparations for the show were taken to another level to ensure that strict safety protocols were followed, “Unang-una is to observe physical distancing and follow the guidelines and safety protocols. Preparations had to be taken to another level. Wala kaming audience, mas kaunti ‘yung tao. Nevertheless, I’m very excited about the Clashers’ performances.”

Also making their way backstage again to get to know the Clashers are Journey Hosts Rita Daniela and Ken Chan.

Rita expressed her excitement to learn the contestants’ off-cam stories, “I’m more than happy because I get to work again with the people that I love! I really can’t wait to hear all the wonderful stories of our Clashers. I’m excited to be their ate.”

Likewise, Ken is also looking forward to meeting the new group of Clashers. “Na-miss ko ‘yung pakikisalamuha namin sa Clashers at pati na rin sa mga pamilya nila,” he shared. “Kaya ngayong season 3 ay excited akong malaman ang kuwento ng bawat isa sa kanila.”

Taking their seats anew as The Clash Panel are Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha, Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, and Comedy Concert Queen AiAi Delas Alas.

I always look for someone with a certain uniqueness in his/her voice, someone who sings with genuine emotion, and has impressive stage presence and an amazing personality,” Lani said. “I’m absolutely excited to see and experience what's going to happen in this season.”

For Christian, the vocal battles will be even more intense, “The intensity of judging, guiding, and constructively building new champions is very exciting. It will really be more intense and nerve-wracking for the contestants because we are facing tough times right now.”

Aiai, in turn, is also stoked to be back in the studio, “Nasa ‘new normal’ na tayo kaya we have the opportunity to do things differently and better. The Clash is always big, and I’m sure it will be even bigger ngayon dahil sa mahuhusay na contestants. Hindi lang ako excited, I am ablaze with energy para sa The Clash Season 3!”

Six Thai Actors to Watch Out For in iWant's "I'm Tee, Me Too"

Streaming service iWant TFC brings together popular Thai stars Off, Gun, Tay, New, Krist, and Singto in the all-new Thai series “I’m Tee, Me Too” where they will unexpectedly find friendship and people to celebrate life with, premiering this Friday (September 18) at 10:30 PM simultaneous with its Thailand airing.

The series, which will be available to standard and premium subscribers in the Philippines in both its Filipino-dubbed and original Thai version with English subtitles, follows six guys living under one roof who have the same nickname but different personalities and ticks.

The story begins with architecture student WaTee (Kirst), who suddenly finds himself alone after his mother passes away and seeks the help of tenants in order to pay the bills and keep their house.

Here is where he meets TeeRex (Gun), an only child who fears living alone, TeeDet, (New) a workout buff who is terrified of beautiful women, MaeTee (Off), an imaginative communications student who is paranoid of ghosts, MaiTee (Singto), the resident cook who is afraid of good news, and TeeDo (Tay), a musician who despises the sound of chewing.

With six months to endure each other’s company, will they only worsen each other’s unhealthy traits or help each other become the best version of themselves?

Here are a few things you should know about the six Thai stars and their characters in the series:

1. Krist Perawat as WaTee

PersonaliTEE and unique traits: As someone dealing with trust issues, WaTee hates seeking help from others but is willing to sacrifice in order to keep his childhood home and the happy memories that once lived in it. Now dependent on the five tenants to be able to pay his mortgage, all while dealing with the recent loss of his mother, he remains reserved and refuses to open up to his new housemates.

Where you might have spotted Krist: Viewers must be excited to see Krist in another Thai series as he has already held two fan meets in the Philippines back in 2018 and 2019.

2. Singto Prachaya as MaiTee

PersonaliTEE and unique traits: MaiTee is someone who is scared of receiving good news and getting disappointed. He is also a neat freak germaphobe who loves to cook but ends up getting on the nerves of his housemates because of how organized and clean he wants everything to be.

Where you might have spotted Singto: As the other half of KristSingto, one of the most popular boys love (BL) pairs in Thailand, he has also been to the Philippines twice with Krist. You can also recognize him as he recently starred as Mes in the eight-part Thai romance drama “Come To Me,” which is now streaming for free on iWant TFC.

3. Gun Atthapan as TeeRex

PersonaliTEE and unique traits: TeeRex is the ever-reliable housemate who is always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Sharing the space with the five other tenants gives him joy as he is an only child who is scared of living alone. As much as he loves the company of others, you will not really hear much from him since he is a cellphone addict who only likes to communicate through social media messenger apps.

Where you might have spotted Gun: Viewers can also look forward to more of Gun, who visited the Philippines in 2018, as he stars in “Theory of Love” where he plays filmology major Third. It streams soon on iWant TFC.

4. Off Jumpol as MaeTee

PersonaliTEE and unique traits: MaeTee uses his creativity to his advantage as a communication arts major who writes about love during his free time. Though he may seem invasive of other people’s space, this is only because he is extremely terrified of ghosts as he tries to deal with his imaginary encounters with them.

Where you might have spotted Off: Like Gun, Off also appears in the well-known Thai drama series “Theory of Love.” Viewers will also recognize the popular BL pair from a meet-and-greet with Filipino fans in 2018.

5. Tay Tawan as TeeDo

PersonaliTEE and unique traits: When things go wrong, the housemates count on TeeDo and his patient disposition to solve the problem and mediate the tension. He is the seventh son who comes from a well-known family of musicians and turns into a different person when he hears the sound of a person’s chewing.

Where you might have spotted Tay: Pinoys are already familiar with Tay since he joined the iWant original Japanese game show “Find the Wasabi in Nagoya,” where he competed with Filipino actor Khalil Ramos. He visited the Philippines in 2018 for a meet-and-greet with fans and he also starred in “Dark Blue Kiss,” which will soon be available for streaming on iWant TFC.

6. New Thitipoom as TeeDet

PersonaliTEE and unique traits: TeeDet is easy-going, just not around beautiful women because he suffers from gynophobia, an intense fear of beautiful women. Another thing about this forestry student is he declines to take part in certain activities because he is afraid of failing and being criticized afterwards. He is also the type to nag everyone around him even if he himself cannot get the job done.

Where you might have spotted New: New also starred in “Dark Blue Kiss” and has also brought joy to his fans when he visited Manila in 2018 for his fan event with Tay.

“I’m Tee, Me Too” is the fourth Thai series streaming on iWant TFC after “2gether,” ”Still 2gether, and “Come to Me” as a result of ABS-CBN’s partnership with Thai content company GMMTV. Singto also stars in “Come to Me,” while Tay joined iWant’s original Japanese global game Show “Find the Wasabi,” where Filipino actor Khalil Ramos was named the winner.

Starting September 18, standard and premium subscribers of iWant TFC in the Philippines can stream “I’m Tee, Me Too” every Friday at 10:30 PM on the iWant TFC app (iOs and Android) or iwanttfc.com. For updates, like www.facebook.com/iWantTFC, and follow @iwanttfc on Twitter and Instagram, and subscribe to www.youtube.com/iWantTFC.

GMA Network Presents a Star-Studded Drama Anthology ‘I Can See You’ feat. the Biggest and Brightest Kapuso stars

Do you ever get the sense that you are being watched? Or that you are not alone?

If you have ever felt like being spied upon whether by someone or something, more often than not, your instincts are correct. Researchers believe that humans are sensitive to gaze as it signals intimacy as well as danger; two of the things we need to pay attention to for our own well-being.

Beginning September 28, GMA Network raises the bar with an exceptional and one-of-a-kind program featuring the biggest and brightest Kapuso stars in the drama anthology ‘I Can See You’ on the Telebabad block.

This unique drama anthology which highlights four mini-series – Love On The Balcony, High Rise Lovers, The Promise, and Truly. Madly. Deadly. – dwells on its common visual storytelling mnemonic device which is the use of a camera as a witness to the tales of love and mystery from everyday people; hence the title – I Can See You.

The ground-breaking program gifts viewers with compelling, contemporary, and unique stories produced by four different teams in a remarkable four-week viewing experience.

In observance of anti-COVID-19 protocols alongside the Network’s precautionary measures, the cast and crew of the show underwent RT-PCR tests, lock-in tapings and strictly practiced government-mandated safety and health protocols on the set.

Kick-starting the drama anthology is “Love On The Balcony” top-billed by Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards, Kapuso hunk Pancho Magno, and Kapuso leading Lady Jasmine Curtis-Smith. It tells the timely story of a wedding videographer, Gio (Alden), who crosses paths with a frontline nurse, Lea (Jasmine). Uninspired and creatively drained, Gio is encouraged by his business partner and friend Val (Pancho) to search for a potential fling during quarantine. After their unfortunate encounter, romance eventually blossoms between Gio and Lea amidst the pandemic. Is this the beginning of a beautiful chapter in their love story or is it just destiny’s way of putting people in our lives for a purpose?

Completing the cast are Denise Barbacena and Shyr Valdez. Love On The Balcony is directed by LA Madridejos which airs beginning September 28.

Heating up primetime TV viewing on October 5 is the second installment of the series “High Rise Lovers” which stars Kapuso Premier Drama Actress Lovi Poe, actress-beauty queen Winwyn Marquez and multitalented Kapuso actor Tom Rodriguez. It follows the story of married couple Samantha (Lovi) and Luis (Tom) whose relationship dwindles as their opposing goals in life get the best of them. After moving into a new condominium unit, Samantha continues to strive for a big promotion at work while Luis, an unemployed contractor, is forced to accept a renovation job for another occupant – the mysterious and sultry Ysabel (Winwyn). Will Luis yield to the temptation of a new lover who comforts his bruised ego or will Samantha realize that her marriage is still worth saving?

Also starring in the episode are Teresa Loyzaga and Kenneth “Tetay” Ocampo. High Rise Lovers is under the helm of Monti Parungao.

Bannered by talented Kapuso stars Andrea Torres, Yasmien Kurdi, Benjamin Alves and Paolo Contis, “The Promise” gives viewers more reasons to believe in the power of love this October 12. The story begins with a rich widowed man named Frank (Paolo) who loses his passion for life and became a recluse after losing his wife Clarisse (Yasmien) from an accident. When Jude (Benjamin), his cousin and right-hand man in the company, visits him in the lake house where he stays at, Frank takes an interest in the latter’s girlfriend Ivy (Andrea), an aspiring artist who is willing to do anything to take her family out of poverty.

Also playing an exciting role in this series is Maey Bautista. The Promise is directed by Zig Dulay.

Finally, set to bring mystery and romance is the last installment “Truly. Madly. Deadly.” headlined by Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo, versatile Kapuso actress Rhian Ramos, and Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado premiering on October 19. Coleen (Jennylyn) is a professional woman who, after being ridiculed online for a scandal with a married man, moves out of the city and works in a remote resort where she meets the mysterious resident IT guy named Drew (Dennis). Life seems to be going well for the recovering Coleen until her best friend turned enemy Abby (Rhian) shows up and her past begins to haunt her once again.

Joining the talented cast of this episode is Jhoana Marie Tan and with the special participation of Ruby Rodriguez. Truly. Madly. Deadly is directed by Jorron Lee Monroy.

Don’t miss out on GMA Network’s newest and much-awaited offering this year ‘I Can See You’ beginning September 28, right after Encantadia, on the Telebabad block.
